pondering
I just decided. That every little detail of my day isnt really significant and not worth writing about. Most days are the same. In retrospect, there are only a few things that we remember, the most important moments.
I just watched funny People with my mom. It was funny and insightful at the same time. It was sad though to see how difficult it is for ppl to change. Also, I think that one of the most unfortunate things that can happen are missing out on an opportunity and then regretting it later in life. Along with that, losing touch with the people you love.
Idk ive just been thinking.
and that could be dangerous.
im not too good at putting my thoughts into writing either. but thats what ive got

a monday w/o school
This morning, I actually started to reorganize my room. I had assembled a wire rack for my board games yesterday so I moved it into my room and made it a board game center/ trophy case. I felt wayy better after that cuz I had a clutter of a bunch of things in that corner. Unfortunately, living a condo doesn't leave much room for all my crap. Anyways, after my mom and i spent the morning cleaning. We went our separate ways for a few hours. Turns out it was less than a few hours because I went to Best Buy with the intention of buying my mom the Lady Gaga cd, but ended up being pulled straight towards the phones. I was shocked when i looked at the prices of the at&t phones there because most of them were free if you were due for an update, which lucky me was the case. I called up my mom and told her to come by. She ended up spending a total of $20 on everything, which included the samsung solstice, a 4 BG memory card and guarantee that if I break the phone or something goes wrong with it that they will give me a brand new one. I also bought josh and gavan a $30 giftcard to Best buy because always feel bad that my mom never gets them anything. Then I stopped at Target right across the street for 2 items: the lady gaga cd and the book, Mastering the art of French Cooking by Julia Child. I had looked online before I left and the site claimed it was there. Hoever, I did not see it. so i ended up just buying the cd. I was told by the lady who sold me my phone that I could find a case for it at a kiosk across form victoria secret at Golf Mill. So I drove to the other side of the mall and found the kisok right where she said. there was a man named Sebastian.

sunday w/ mom
Today I woke up extremely late around 1:45 pm. I had a lot of things on my agenda, but I had to get it all done by 4 when my mom came home. I took a shower, did some dishes, and wrapped some gifts. When my mom came home, we went out to Portillos for dinner and I ordered an Italian beef Sandwich with fries. I scarfed it down because I hadn't eaten all day. <-- dont think this is from the right day
I made some mostacholi with sauce.
At 7:30, I had an indoor game in Barrington against ELA. Thank goodness it wasn't the same team that we played in the outdoor season who we lost to 3-0. It was their younger team that we beat fairly easily.
While I showered, my mom rented Julie and Julia. It was a very good movie. I like how they incorporated 2 true stories into one. As a matter of fact, Julie, who had a plan to cook all the meals in Julia's book in 1 year, also had a blog, which is what made her famous.

s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y night
Well lets see.....
First I woke up with many missed calls from my mom asking me to come to the hospital. I ended up applying to this restaurant that is about to open in the new tower called au bon pain. I had my first job interview and i think it went pretty well. they already ran my background check. AFterwards, my mom introduced me to a bunch of her coworkers whom hadn't seen me since I was little. It was kinda weird cuz I didnt know them. Also, I met my mom's friend sargon who works as security at luthern.
After that, my mom and i stopped at target and did a bunch of christmas shopping. my mom spent like $300 at target. she bought gifts for sofia, sammy, uncle oliver and john.
Once we unpacked everything, we decorated our christmas tree. We started putting on ornament, when my mom found a u of i ornament and claimed it was destiny.
At 5:30, i went to tess' house for a little christmas party. Lots of people from her extended family were there. even her great grandpa who's 90 was there. Before dinner, we sang the mexican tradition la posada. then we ate beef sanwiches. her little cousins janelle, joaquin and cheb were so fun. it took a while for them to warm up to strangers but after a while we started running around the house. We had piggy back ride races. At dinner, Janelle and Cheb were trying to guess how old everyone was. Apparently, I look like im 27. Tess' dad is supposedly 67 and Lyndsey is 13 years old. Then janelle did the sweetest thing. she told me to close my eyes and she put her bracelet on me and let me keep it. She also told me I was a princess and she crowned me.
Earlier, when we were sitting down to eat I sat with Cheb and Janelle pero they were making fun of my last name so I left.
Joaquin was pretty funny too. He's kinda violent for a 1.5 year old. Cheb reminded me of my brother because they are both 8 years old and very energetic.
Unfortunately, around 830 they had to leave cuz it was past their bedtime.
When they left, Erin, tess, lyndsey, g-love, robby, special sauce, george gary and i played wii American idol, then guitar hero then good ol' original karaoke. So pretty much all we did was rock out all night. :) Mel eventually came at like 9 and robby just chillaxed on the couch while everyone else embarrassed themselves. Oh btw I do a mean Cher impression
Overall, it was a really fun night. best ive had in a while. what's even better is that i dont have school monday or homework to do tomorrow.

Flight
I was on my way to Lyndsey's house and instead of making the smart choice and going on the main roads, I decided to cut through a neighborhood where the streets weren't plowed. See..these neighborhoods are extremely windy and in normal conditions you can go fast. However, the street was packed with snow. As I reached the end of the neighborhood, there was this one last slight curve to the right and I pressed on my breaks to slow down, but instead inertia took me forwards head on towards a tree.
Luckily, at the last second I was able to veer right into the mailbox instead. My heart was pounding and my first instinct was to get out of the car. So I ran up to the house and rang the doorbell. An older gentleman answered. It took me a few seconds before I could gather myself to answer him. I said, "I really sorry sir, but I just hit your mailbox." I looked at his face to see if his expression was going to display anger, but to my surprise he was very calm. I freaked out and told him I can give him my information and we can handle it later. I also asked him if he wanted to come outside to look at the damage. He glanced outside and said "just looks like the mailbox is a little slanted. It's alright. Just make sure you drive slowly next time."
I was shocked at his response so I gave him another chance.
"Are you sure"
"Yea it's fine"
So i backed off of his lawn and went on my merry way.
